drdre89 Can you explain more about the “coffee dosing system “ they charge extra for as well as the “flush lever” which is also an extra ?
When they refer to the coffee dosing system, they mean the little rectangular display on the left, which can stop the shot based on time or pressure…it also allows a few other parameters to be tweaked, such as when the show moves from PI to shot mode. Plus it shows pressure readings, shot time, shot time memory until next shot and manual release of vent solenoid (in case of choked shots, or if you want a speedy move to the next shot and need to close the drain solenoid before the normal 20 or so seconds)..
The flush lever:
- flushes group for cleaning PF or group
- allows water to be placed onto puck prior to starting shot - bloom phase
- allows water to be placed onto puck prior to starting shot - increase swept volume (be reducing air in system)
The little rectangular screen was originally just going to be a shot timer…
The Evo2 and Vostok with all the doodads is for the price one of the most technically advanced levers you can get for that sort of money, and very well built. In fact you could pay a lot more and get a lot less. It’s my endgame machine.
Both ideas I cam up with and Paolo made reality.
