Cuprajake I need a fresh pf this one naked doesn’t lock in. Its at 7.30

The single and double lock at 6

It’s the case with most of us. Our bottomless moved to 6:30 from about 7:00 in the last few months. The other two always lock at 6. As long as you tightly lock it, you should be good. We do not tightly lock it, just ensure it is secure and never had an incident.

The PI hits 1.5-2.0 bars.

I’ve changed the black gasket to a silicone one (can’t really remember the colour but I think it was blue). After doing so the naked portafilter locked at 6 and the feedback from locking in the pf was better.

I am trying to unscrew the piston with this tool, but slips on it.

Have any suggest another tool to try?

darkstefano If you are really cash strapped…

Unlike Norvins tool, you can’t pop it in the bore and undo the piston without taking the top off…but taking the top off doesn’t take long and is good for a clean and relube..

Use a thick towel and try by hand. Mine was very easy to do even though I have the tool.

I did try the tool you mentionned, but didn’t find it practical… a set of pliers with a thick towel is likely better, as would be all the tools listed in the FAQ for this task

so me being me, i took my naked pf and the double spout to work, quick measure and it seems the lugs/ears on the named are 0.5mm larger, they are a slanted ear going from 6mm to 7mm, so ive taken a bit of width off it, and will test tonight to see how it fits,

i do want to purchase one, just not sure where to buy one from.

Cuprajake Izzo Alexa Leva also sports the same LSM group. Not sure if this will get you to the desired 6 O’ Clock position. @BlackCatCoffee sells Izzo lever. You may check with David

from what i was told, the machine was sold with a wrong machined naked pf, the single and double both lock correctly

my dosing funnel from amazon doesnt fit, its a well made heavy piece just not a good fit, ill wait for the ims basket to come, and if it doesnt come then i will ask our @Norvin for one,

Cuprajake We all use Norvin’s dosing funnel. Infact, I have been asking him if he can make one, which can sit either on top of the IMS basket or outside. Finding the correct size for the external diameter of the basket is a challenge
