Foundry Columbian Luis Anibal EF Washed
Cup score 87.75 and medium light!
They pegged this bag as having a mid-acidity, a full mouth feel, spicy and sweet.
18g, 35.7g out, 22s. I would say, it is a tad faster. I had set the temp at 93/98. When I pulled, the group was 93.5C.
Another interesting offering from Foundry. It’s nice, sweet, smooth and good to drink as a black. However, as a hot cup, I found a tad unpleasant acidity coupled with a very mild tartness at 93.00-93.5. I can liken the tartness to mango. These unpleasantness disappear as the cup cools down.
I don’t think I need to touch the grind size. Perhaps, dropping the group by a couple of C and pegging the brew boiler at 6C than 5C higher should do the trick.
I reckon this will make a lovely flat white. This should make a very good filter for sure.
It’s Mango all the wav with hints of cloves to finish. Neither I get any cinnamon nor toffee.
Edit :
I saw a water drop from the edge of the basket at 14s and 21s! wonder why? The new silicone gasket, which I changed a few weeks ago, looks seated properly.
