I’m pretty frustrated right now. I switched back to the deep basket from ACS, because I bought a nice self-leveling tamper that fits the ACS basket perfectly, but is a little too small for the IMS version.
I don’t think I’ve had a shot without channeling in the last 20 extractions. Does anyone have any tips regarding channeling?
I’m currently dosing 20-21g (but I’ve also tried 18.5g for fun, same result). I WDT, slightly tap the portafilter left and right, slam it lightly on the counter to settle it, and tamp. My temps are at 90/94 at the moment, and I’m using dark to medium roasted beans that have been roasted 25 days ago.
