It all depends on the length of the pipe from the boiler to the tip of the wand. If you have more surface for water to condensate then you will get more wet steam and you have to purge. This happens to gs3 too, as a friend of mine was at my place and used the steam and told me it’s the same at his gs3.
Removing the interior teflon tube will allow the stainless piping of the steam wand to heat more, evaporating more water on the path. But you should always flush the steam before steaming not only for wet steam reasons but also for hygiene reasons.
You also have to understand for an excellent steam you need every little bit heated, not only the boiler to 130C set temp. So dont expect a top quality steaming after a 20-25 min heat up time, lol.
