Also, my steam wands produces a lot of water before steam that it makes a miss whilst i am purging, have I missed anything here?

All steam wands have water in them which is purged out. if you make a video for us it will help

Berryterry yep. I tried steaming on my friend’s all white evo leva last week and it wasn’t as dry as I wanted it to be. My previous machine a Profitec Pro 800 and it produced drier steam. I wanted to go with the Vesuvius original steam wand then @Abdulaziz told me that it’s not as functional as we thought, so he’s getting the spider wand soon. I accept that there is no such thing is perfect and we have to accept the wet steaming as is 😩

I have the mantis arm and it keeps a lot of water in it because of the length. It’s normal and not any different than a friend’s GS3 with the same long mantis arm. You just have to do a purge before steaming which is no biggie. I actually wish the mantis arm was a little longer so I could purge into the drip tray and not have water go everywhere. It really should be about 3-4 inches longer.

gus6464 wrap a microfibre cloth around the end to direct into the drip tray when purging. That’s what I do with my Minima.

Won’t help you much. I have the short steam wand and when I purge in the drip tray, the force of the steam/water splashes the leftover water in the tray out. I have to press very gently on the toggle to get reduced flow so it won’t splash everywhere.

dfk41 130c and using the 2 tip. Shockingly, @Abdulaziz said that the Lelit Bianca’s steam is much drier than the Leva’s 🥲. Does it have to do with the water sensor? Joy stick VS knob? The steaming tip? I’m leaning towards the latter!

Ad-85 it could be the way in which the no burn steam wand has been implemented, causing lots of condensation.

The below review highlights the same issue with the Vesuvius, under “steam wetness”.

I have an ACS Minima (same boilers as Evo Leva), which has a burn wand without an internal teflon tube, and the same steam tip as the Vesuvius and Evo Leva. The steam is very dry, although the only thing which causes some condensation is the steam tip. Switching to an expobar tip removes any residual condensation when steaming.

So maybe removing the inner teflon tube will help, or switching to a burn wand like the Minima.

HVL87 I do agree that maybe the reason that is why I will remove PTFE and give it a second round … BTW it is not that bad or a deal-breaker … just an observation with my last device

Has anyone tried to do coffee shots / spro-over on a Leva? I’m keen to hear if anyone has a recipe to recommend, I’m not getting much success yet.

I agree that, if the bolts 230 and 231 are overtightened, this could produce squeaking if the inner race of the bearings is pushed inward beyond its allowable play, but I don’t think this can be the cause of the rubbing of 120, 121, and 646. On my machine the location of the marks clearly show that they are caused by the cam 121 rotating clockwise (looking down) during a shot, which suggests it might be the rotation of the springs during compression or expansion if the springs are not free to rotate. Does anyone know if 235 is an axial bearing or just a solid retaining ring?

rusty-pie I’m fortunate to have an Evo leva that does not squeak and has only trace marks on the right hand side surfaces. Regardless I backed out the two side bolts slightly and applied some more moly grease (food safe ). I wondered if part of the problem was tolerance stacking where some combinations have an overly tight fit, specifically the handle fork and inner cam. I did notice that other users seem to report damage on the right hand surfaces where I also observe slight marking but not sure if that is a real observation.
