Ah no, that would be incorrect.
I mean, I can understand your intrigue because that just flat out would make no sense.
I’ve had 19 grinders over the last two years. I keep challenging an incumbent with a new grinder and I’ve sold the ‘loser’ as decided by my taste buds and other personal preferences alone.
At the time of publishing the above review the Honne was definitely number one.
Then two things happened. The Nurri arrived and I needed more bench space.
That was preceded by the Olympia Moca SD arriving.
Smaller and faster than the Honne and delivering espresso that is marginally more to my liking and around 12 kilo lighter.
I also sold my EG-1 once the Moca SD was on my espresso bench (see the Moca SD review I wrote more recently for this esteemed forum) because it’s also massively larger than the Moca SD and failed to deliver on the taste explosion that the latter offered, by a wide margin.
I have a Moca SD paired with a Decent and another paired with the Nurri.
The Strietman is paired with a Malwani Livi because I bought a Weber Key to replace the latter (smaller footprint) but in the end I simply couldn’t bear to part with such a beautiful example of functional art. I figured out a work-around to keep the Livi on the bench and re-sold the Key instead.
Current set up is a bit crowded while I figure out whether to keep the Moca SD that is currently paired with the Nurri or keep the Niche that I fitted with the incredibly impressive Gorilla Gear burrs:
