pjw All those 3 grinders, are usually out of stock, so I expect this is the reason you want second hand. You can try Titus Nautilius, those are usually in stock, or you can just add yourself to waiting list. No lottery ;) And are made in Europe.
CoyoteOldMan DavecUK It’s a Marvel character called “the Collector”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collector_(character) Appeared in a couple of MCU movies, played very nicely by Benicio del Toro, but without the goatee the original character had in the comics.
DavecUK Ahhh, remember him now, had lots of stuff in cabinets. Bit like the guy who collected Data in STNG. The epusode was called ‘The Most Toys’ very apt. I feel if I don’t have one of each, i just won’t have street cred.
LMSC DavecUK I feel if I don’t have one of each, i just won’t have street cred. Nah! potentially, :-)

MediumRoastSteam DavecUK - with these days tech, you can always create a brand new account and no hope in hell they will figure out it’s you. It could be as simple as creating a brand new account using an incognito browser session, with a brand new disposable email account over a mobile network connection.
Rob1 Tempted to buy it just so I can do a comparison between that and the Niche. Edit: Oh it’s only a 75mm burr, will have to wait for a Max.
dfk41 Inspector The guy who bought it lives near me and is downgrading from an EK43S…..seems an odd move to me! Paired to a Decent
Platypus dfk41 James Hoffmann does get inside peoples heads , sowing seeds of doubt! He really didn’t seem to like/enjoy the EK on his review , any positive points were given through gritted teeth.
DavecUK Platypus I tried an EG1, what an absolute nightmare of a grinder and I didn’t get that £4000 taste either. It was so frustrating to use, I found myself getting really annoyed with it. If I had one…I wouldn’t ever use it….far too much faff for nothing.
dfk41 Platypus I have not seen Hoffmans review. I tend not to take too seriously his content since he makes a fortune from Youtube and HAS to come up with content whether he needs it or not……did I mention the full production studio? I have had 2 HG Ones. I had one of the first ones released. I hated it! In those days you could choose from 3 burr sets, 75mm, Mazzer or aftermarket 83mm. I chose the Mazzer burrs, but the faff……in those days working from home I regularly made multiple cups of coffee during the day and you could just not use the HG workflow for that. Of course, that is just my opinion. I revisited a couple of years later and bought another used one but the aftermarket burrs were a big step down so I think I owned it for a week!
tompoland DavecUK curious therefore as to why you want one. Just being nosy so feel free to ignore this post. I’m hoping the answer is that you are going to compare the two and share your thoughts, or similar.
