JahLaza So I had some spare time to myself yesterday and googled the above words. I got a fright!! The top consumers (globally) in Finland consume 9.6kg per annum according to the latest figures. That’s apparently 4 cups per day per person and when I tried to establish the figures used it looks like they use a single shot/7g, or so, per cup. I use approximately 16.5 on average (bean dependant) per cup,I have 3, or 4 cups a day, multiplying by 350 days (I’ll take 2 weeks hols!!) consumes nearly 20kg. Do I need to see my coffee therapist?!! Am I an outlier or just drink too much coffee?! Are there more gargantuan consumers on here like me?! Are these surveys inaccurate?
Not enough information to reach any meaningful conclusion, I think. Starting with being an average. The same figure can be reached if each person in the country drinks the average amount, or if half the people drink double that and the rest don’t drink at all, etc. It also treats everything as “coffee”, but what do they mean? Do they include instant coffee, for example (which might be the most consumed in some countries?).
