Would be interesting to know the source of the data. Somehow I don’t quite believe it.
Also, would be interested to see how they considered the amount of caffeine per Mate.
Where I’m from, South of Brazil, I drank Mate before anything else. They don’t drink it anywhere else in Brazil, only in the southern states. My parents drink litres of it per day - and they use boiling water. In Paraguay, they use cold water, so surely it extracts a lot less - Yet the consumption is twice the Argentinian consumption, where they drink it hot. So that, in a way, doesn’t surprise me: The Paraguayians drink a lot more because it’s extracted a lot less.
