Hi All
I was adjusting the OPV valve on my Lelit Elizabeth, turning the cylinder (bolt) clockwise to reduce the pressure. However the turns introduce a twist in the tube/hose that connects to the OPV valve, to the extent that the twist causes a spray leak at the connection point. I was trying to get 6 bar, but couldn’t due to the above. Here is a photo of the kink in the hose:
So I moved the position of the hose to reduce the kink, which allowed me to get to 6.75 BAR:
I was nervous about (and did not) disconnect or reconnect the hose, as I feared losing a tight connection, or not being able to reconnect.
Btw, if I shift back to more than 7.8 BAR, I will introduce another kink in the hose, and have to revert back to the former hose routing.
Surely there is a better way. Suggestions?
Thanks,
JHCCoffee
PS
6.8 BAR did not improve the taste of my decaf, so I changed to 7.8 BAR and will hopefully dial that in tomorrow. But that is the subject of my separate post on brew pressure.
Cheers
