chlorox The handle is 13.5cm in front of the upper cabinets. This makes the Vostok look further to the right when it is actually centered.
I am considering shifting it down a cabinet to give more counter space for food prep. Even with the narrower gap between doors, it would still give enough room to open the cabinets without pulling the handle. It would not however give much room for coffee prep.

My cabinets are 49cm above the counter and the Vostok is 47cm tall. Most normal American kitchens could not fit a Vostok on a kitchen counter with cabinets above.
