Just had a call from Michael in Germany (owner of ECM and Profitec), he is now aware of the issue and the fix I recommended, so they will be testing and should sort this out with retailers once they are comfortable with it and how retailers, customers can fit it..
Beverast I would simply hang on to the machine and wait, this won’t happen all the time…there will be a solution for you. In the meantime, before switching off, ensure the expansion valve is in the 9 bar position….just in case it’s coming via that route and ensure the water isn’t below the inlet tube.
ECM are a great company and care very much about the quality of their machines, it’s one of the key drivers for them. At some point I will be going out to visit with them and have a chat to their engineers about futures and concepts, something I am looking forward to.
