Raise a glass to vinyl…..
After over ten years I have all my Hi-Fi up and running again including my record deck. So, last Friday we had a young friend of ours over for dinner and to stay the night. She has lived only through CD’S and streaming and when she saw my set-up asked if she could hear some music played on Vinyl.
I forewarned her that there might be the odd click or hiss especially as my record collection is pretty old. After playing a few tracks I asked her what she thought, expecting her to say she preferred the clear unsullied sound of digital and to my surprise she said…. I prefer this sound. It sounds like the music is not coming from speakers but that they are here in the room.
If my grin had gotten any wider and I was a woman, I would have got lipstick on my earlobes😁.
