A British magician I had never heard of called Drummond Money-Coutts. A series on Netflix called Death by Magic where he travelled round the world re-creating major stunts that killed famous magicians of the age that performed them. A brilliant prestidigitator too which he showed in the run up to the main trick.
Having said that, one wasn’t a magic trick it was copying a Canadian bloke who survived going over Niagra falls in a barrel, who decided to up the anti and get dropped 180 feet from the roof of an Astrodome into a big tank of water. Watched live by 35000 people and filmed, when it was released it started to rotate in the air clipped the edge of the water tank and killed him. Crushed his chest and abdomen and fractured his skull. Mind you, the worst one was the magician who did the being buried alive and escaping trick. He uped the anti by having his perspex coffin lowered into the ground then having concrete poured on top. What he didn’t take into account was the weight and the lid collapsed literally burying him alive and killing him. Again showed live on telly.
I am now watching a cooking contest called School of Chocolate on Neflix all about making creations out of chocolate which may be polar opposite but in its own way just as facinating. What this French guy is making out of chocolate is just incredible.
