I also spotted that they now say it has 10 sensors in the heating bowl - up from 7 previously.
As you say, it is a work in progress, but to be fair, the designer made that clear several times in the various videos.
Making it less tall was another and I imagine from a manufacturing point of view, that would be quite a restart.
However, I think that he is realistic about manufacturing - in China of course - and is well advanced on v.1, so you could well be pleasantly surprised on delivery times.
More will be made clear when he actually starts the Kickstarter campaign. I am waiting until then before deciding whether to commit. One aspect for UK residents buying foreign goods, in addition to shipping costs, is the import duty and VAT which adds a substantial percentage on top. VAT is 20% on the total price including shipping and import duty, I think. Decent say UK import duty on their machines is up to 15%. So I hope that the Kickstarter disclosure will clarify that add-on cost.
