A quiet but a different Christmas at my daughter’s. She is on the A & E night shift since Christmas Eve. We had all veg Christmas brunch, she is off to bed and we are watching Money Heist. Nothing significant on the coffee side; we do not carry anything related to coffee when we travel.

LMSC - my wife is vegetarian. Tomorrow we are off to the Crispy Dosa restaurant in Reading for a vegetarian feast!

-Mac Amazingly enough a load of beers….have not drunk any Alcohol since October 23 2019, and then it was only a ¼ glass of wine, few sips really.

Drinking my favourite dark roasted beans Kenyan Lena AA. Three pours for me, one on each machine. Then invited our visiting 49kg, 4ft-nothing daughter, to pull her first shot on the Izzo Valexia Leva. She almost lifted of the ground before the lever began to move. Such fun!

@DavecUK My last drop of plonk or me was Feb 25 2017 … not that I’m still counting the days! In fact, I suspect that the origin’s of my espresso obsession can be traced back to Feb 26 2017 😉

I suspect I won’t drink again until Dec 2022, or even Dec 2023. I had 4 beers over the Christmas period…Realised it made no difference whether I had had them or not, so will save the money and get some coke instead. In truth, I only have booze in the house for other people…and gradually stocks are running down.

I found a long time ago with alcohol….I could take it, or leave it…

I don’t drink outside, unless my wife or daughter is happy to drive, which is rare. I’m also not a regular drinker. Occasional G & T with my daughter, a can or two beer once in two weeks. I seldom drink wine.

I love wine! 😊 I truly enjoy the taste of beers and wine, and I wish the taste could be replicated without alcohol. If that was possible, I’d happily drink the non alcoholic version. In a way, it’s the same for coffee: I can only drink two a day, three at a push. If they could replicate the taste of coffee on non-caffeinated versions, I’d just drink that, but it’s just not the same.

Here in Pompeyexile Towers we like a drop of vino, but we also like a beer and the odd G&T and I also like a drop of whisky too. We always have plenty in, but we are not what you would call regular or big drinkers. the odd tipple and mostly when we have visitors. Beer, but no more than a bottle with some nuts or crisps and if we open a bottle of wine, that even gets a stopper put in it and the air taken out so will last us a couple of days (two dinners).

Always been a bitter drinker as opposed to lager. Not keen on beer out of a can, so my go-to bottled beer is Innis & Gunns Original.

For Crimbo we have in the past gone down the Chateu Neuf route, but this year we discovered a brand called 19 Crimes which we really like and is a fair bit cheaper. They do 3 reds and a white but interestingly one of the reds has cold brewed coffee in it and as this is a coffee forum…

Half a cup of tea is all I managed on Xmas Day this year, the joys of nursery bugs being brought home by kids! 😂

Santa nailed coffee gifts this year though, gift box including 60g bags of the following the highlight - should be some fun in coming days

I will swap with you: no problem to not have a Coke, but I like a beer (not any beer, but I like my own.)

I love Force Majeure Tripel which is a Belgian alcohol free beer. I think you can only just tell by the taste that it is non alcoholic. There is also a German one called Kloster Andechs which is absolutely fantastic. Alcohol free wine on the other hand tastes like a mixture of grape juice and vinegar.

I only bought 4 bottles of beer…! between me and my son, all gone.
