Been like that for a while. Apparently Niche have run into some unsurmountable issue that prevents them from drop shipping from Chine into the EU. It's odd.

@"Gagaryn"#p42015 - how strange. They can ship grinders to the EU (with a disk and a cup as part of the package) but not a disk or a cup individually? Bizarre.

Really wish they'd sell more parts, like the wooden plate or hopper lids. Then again 40USD for the grinds cup is ridiculously expensive so can't imagine how much they'd charge for those.

FadedFrontiers Have you seen the mark 2 grinds cup? It is light years ahead of the original and well worth the asking price. Why do you want a hopper lid…..? The hopper lid is made from the same material as the see through police shields. The price also includes shipping within the designated zones.

dfk41 yep I’ve got the mark 2, feels really solid and of good quality but it’s just a metal cup… for 40 dollars… let’s just hope I don’t lose this one. If this was Weber we’d all be laughing them out the room.

As for the lid, I’ve not managed to break one yet but I’ve seen the way some people slam it down to get the last few grinds out. It was more an example to highlight that it would be nice if the spares site had more replacement parts than just those two things.

Df64 may be more prone to breaking or whatever but at least you can buy various OEM parts for it very easily and reasonably.

@dfk41 I’ll second that… I’ve got the mark 2 cup and use it on all my grinders even though I don’t even have a Niche grinder!

It’s amazing, the combination of the finish and inside bevel mean nothing gets stuck in it.

What a blatant rip off totally agree with banning them world wide. Obviously, Patent and trade marks mean nothing to the Manufacturer (edited by admin, because it’s the manufacturer, not an entire race of people) who have proved that they are par pared to rip off anything they think they can get away with.

Price is a total scam as well, I Wonder how many will fall for it.
