Does anyone use this or has seen/tried one? Any comments on it, relative to the Acaia Lunar or Timemore Nano. I will not spend the $$$$ required to buy an Acaia but I think I can get a Felecita at a decent price.

What features are you looking for?

It’s basically a rebadged lunar in a bigger case…. But the same height which is what most people are after. The Nano is a bit thicker.. think the controls on it are not that well liked (similar to the basic scale). There is also the new Flair Scale which is I think $50 - might be worth looking at. https://youtu.be/TkAe23dEqp4 Reading the comments it see to be a rebadged scale you can also get on amazon.. Just read that the Felicita is a Chinese copy of Acaia Lunar in a somewhat larger case. If this is copyright theft, I will pass on this scale. I respect the investment that firms like Acaia put into product development and have no interest in buying clones.

At first I used the functionality but now literally just use it in weighing mode. It looks nice though and is very well made. Auto stop timer when flow finishes Cons - Expensive I’ve found the auto functions can sometimes behave strangely and the timer will just stop mid shot inexplicably. Sounds similar to your Timemore. Not sure on the copy aspect but I bought from a well regarded coffee retailer here so I assumed it was ok. Overall a nice scale but if you don’t need the auto timer and tare, much much cheaper options available.

Ernie1 Morning… out of interest is your arc a micro usb connection ?

Only realised last night that mine has come with USBC which is great as the timemore and nanofoamer both are as well.

It’s not mentioned in the manual/box or on the web so might have just been an upgrade over time ?

Yeah it’s USB-C, handy as you say as it’s a pretty common connector these days.

I have also have an Arc. I’ve found it to work well for most things I do, barring the occasional false reading stopping a shot prematurely on the Decent DE1. I’m unsure whether that’s an issue with the DE1 app or the scale, tho. I have noticed the weight momentarily displays a wildly high number when it happens. It could be due to a bluetooth stack overflow or something to that effect.

I am enjoying the tare/time setting to its sets to zero when the cup goes on - starts the timer and stops when the flow stops.

Worked perfectly so far - so all I do is flip the paddle when it beeps

JHCCoffee Just ordered the Tiny2S on Amazon. $79 Cdn vs $55 on Aliexpress, but no shipping costs or duties or customs clearance changes, and easy to return if I don’t like it.

The scale is defective. It worked well for a few days and then the scale readout (numbers) started getting chopped off at the top. If I tap the side that is closest to the numbers against the counter, the numbers come fully back into view. For a while. Until the issue recurs.

I’ve requested an Amazon refund, but the refund must be approved by the vendor, which is 3rd party. This may take a considerable while, as the vendors response timing (to enquiries) is very very slow.

Yet another instance of poor quality control …

Received my Difluid MicroBalance scale. First impressions:

Size - It’s definitely thicker, wider and longer than my earlier Timemore Black Mirror Nano, but still fits well on my Lelit Elizabeth.

Build - It is a very solidly well built scale; it also weighs considerably more. However the top is entirely clear plastic, to protect the scale from water. But it looks like the plastic could be scratched or worse. I am not 100% sure of the materials composition or durability, but it looks plastic. I’ll check into that as well

Weighing Cell Size - It seems to have a larger weighing “sweet spot”. With some scales, when you shift what you are weighing by only 1 inch, the weight changes. With the Difluid, this does not seem to occur. I have not yet tested how large the sweet spot is.

Speed and accuracy - Ultrafast speed. It’s instant. It’s also accurate to 0.1g, but not 0.01g.

Controls - Through tap sensitive cells on the top display. Way better than the Timemore.

Other features - It has a flow rate display. It connects via Bluetooth (or is it Wifi) to their app, and to a number of other apps. The app displays a flow/time curve. And allows you to log your grinder, grind, brew ratio, etc. I have not had time to play with the app much, yet.

Issues - The timer seems to be a manual start only. I can not find a way to set “auto start”. Or “auto stop” when the weight is removed, or flow stops. I think you do this through the app. I’ll learn more about that, when I have a moment.

PS I just eyeballed their latest firmware release; they appear to have added these and other features; I’ll confirm this once I install the new firmware.

Value for money - Good. I paid $150 CDN including taxes and shipping, from Aliexpress.

I’ll update this review once I’ve used it more.

They do scratch quite easily unfortunately leaving tiny surface marks on top . I don’t use the rubber protector on mine.

Here is an update to my review. Bottom line: Don’t buy one!!

I am encountering serious performance issues. It dramatically overshoots the weight at which I stop the shot, and then very slowly declines backwards to end above, at or below the stop weight. It also does not hold a tare (declines to a negative #).

I have a Lelit Elizabeth. If I attempt to run a ratio of 15.0 in, 28.5 out, I might hit the stop bottom on my Lelit at 26.5, to allow for the time it takes for me to see the 26.5 reading, hit the stop button and allow for the shot to stop at 28.5. The scale will overshoot to 31.5, and then slowly decline to 27.7!! This changes every time. I cannot run an accurate brew ratio. I have never encountered this issue with other less expensive scales. My Timemore Black Nano does not have this problem.

FYI, I recharged the scale and the issue remains.

I’m curious as mine is complete opposite and the most accurate scale I had to date. Had mine since December 2022.
