One of the Forum members suggested I buy a Moka Pot filter made by E&B Filter. Where as my Moka Pot coffee always tasted fairly muddy, it is now much cleaner in taste. Still full bodied but much improved.
I also now WDT the grinds, half fill the basket, bottom tap once, add the balance until full, level and then tap one time again. The tap allowed me to increase the dose. But maybe I should avoid the bottom tap completely and just go with the right grind size for flow.
I vary the grind until I get the initial output and the complete output within a reasonable time and a moderate (not too slow or fast) flow. I then adjust further for taste. Current setting is 31 on my Niche.
Just curious as to other folks Moka Pot techniques, and resultant taste.
