Well I bit the bullet and bought one too. Arrived yesterday after a bit of kerfuffle when the courier left it in the wood store of another property with the same name as ours two miles away. Here are some Initial impressions:
It is very well made and very hefty compared to my Aerspeed, could keep it next to the back door to use as a blunt weapon in case of burglars. Tales a long time to grind but you can start it grinding while doing other stuff.
Very quick to dial in: first go was too fast, knocked back four clicks - too slow, increased two clicks, just right, probably just luck.
Produces fluffy grinds, 16g just right for the Evo basket. Needs a dosing ring otherwise it gets messy transferring grinds into the basket, both of my everyday grinders are modified for grinding directly into the basket, luckily I still have a couple of dosing rings.
Mrs Norvin was more than happy with the decaf espresso that it produced and she is much more fussy than me.
Quite large, so I won’t be taking it on any flights, I will use the Aerspeed for that, but should do fine for car travelling and caravan, which is what it was bought for. Haven’t tried it with the Aeropress yet.
Very pleased with it and have no regrets so far.
