The Argos is designed to be almost entirely user-servicable and uses mostly standard parts. One understandable exception is the power supply. My wife and I are almost certainly moving from the USA to the EU in two years, so we are greatly limiting purchases of anything that will require replacement. Our recent Niche Duo acquisition was a necessary exception. We are planning to continue with our pre-mil La Pavoni Professional until we reach the EU, and as soon as we are unpacked, ordering an Argos plus a few other 220v products.
I can say we plan to order with all three arm options so we can experiment with direct, 6-bar, 8-bar, and also with the analog gauge. Probably not the BT transducer for us as the analog gauge and our tastebuds are likely to provide all the data we require.
And yes, the wait is frustrating and we may wind up buying twice and selling the first, a topic we are re-discussing this coming weekend ;-)
