dfk41 I can try and knock out something soon. This isn’t like any other machine. The physics of how it works is very very different to any other lever. Preinfusion pressure varies the longer the machine is on so that temperature is prioritised. Have a look at this which explains how it works

They now have a classic mode aswell which sacrifices some temperature stability for more stable Preinfusion. Personally the low preinfusion doesn’t bother me if I pull more than one shot as I just apply some more pressure and do a small fellini.
The piston also has an air bleed valve. You need to use the lever in a near half way position to bleed air before lifting fully. This only applies with higher preinfusion pressure and isn’t as important with lower pressure.
