Hi I have the above machine from the first week of sale in the uk, now it has started to over pressure on heat up and wondered if anyone knew the problem, retailer came back that it might be a sticking anti vac valve, forgive 5he milk splashes as I panicked and blew off steam into the milk jug.

Robti What happened when you released the steam, did the pressure drop own to 2 bar or so, instantly?

If you are absolutely sure of this, then it could be the vacuum breaker sticking closed….to be sure..I’d want to see a video of this happening.

You can also try a little test…before you switch it on, open the steam wand…once you see steam coming out, just a little, then close the wand….what happens? (what you are effectively doing with this test is becoming a human vacuum breaker)

sorry for the late update but my computer was down and as the machine was running okay i wasn’t pushed to get the computer back up at this time to reply, so steam rises to around 2.8 bar and then drops slightly and pump kicks in for a second then pressure drops back down, i have been checking this every day since this first occurred and it has never repeated itself, so i can only think that the double descale i did helped.
