Pressure Stat
Many thanks Dave and ACS for sending this thru’ very quickly. Dave keeping the spares for UK users at his’ make a massive difference to warranty and/or out of warranty parts support for the ACS users.
The replacement of the stat was easy. I did 4 full
rotations of the expansion valve adjuster. It wasn’t enough as the pump was kicking every 10-15s and water started appearing from the adjuster’s mouth. I tightened by another 1-2 rotations at a frequency of 0.5 turn each time until the pump stopped running.
PFA the first shot video. I think, Dave said the water shouldn’t come out of the tube. It looks like it might be for two reasons.
- The air bubbles from the tube side when the pump started running when the shot was pulled.
- The steady water drops when the pump ran for the second shot. I damaged the plastic. I will replace it. Please see the second video.
PS:
Dave stocking the parts locally for ACS saves time, effort, money and improves customer experience, IMO. It is a big plus for the ACS after sales support. I think the ACS, IMO, should look to replicate the Dave/UK model elsewhere — at least in far away countries like the US and places where ACS has a lot of users. It keeps the costs down for the users.
