Has anyone got an AirBnB rental near them that creates a nuisance?
Aside from my utter disdain for what they’ve done to the housing market we’ve got one down the street from us that is an absolute pain in the behind.
It’s a very quiet street with already difficult parking, and the house a few doors down is let out to groups of up to 6 sometimes. It’s a two bed but it must have beds in every room given the number of people who stay.
It’s owned by a company who have like 30 other AirBnB properties locally.
When 4 different people turn up to stay, they take up huge amounts of residents parking. Then the noise, they get drunk, and sit in the garden all night making a racket. Occasionally they’ll then leave at the crack of dawn and make a racket packing up their cars shouting up and down the street to each other.
Clearly common courtesy has gone out the window here, presumably because it’s not their street so who cares.
I just don’t understand, if I’m staying somewhere, I’ll be respectful to local residents, regardless where in the world it might be.
We’ve complained to AirBnB multiple times who ‘look into it’ but nothing is done.
Anyone else had similar and found a way to get results? I’m fine with people staying, as long as they respect that it’s a quiet, residential street!
