DavecUK My workflow for the day, when I work from home, are:
- 3 espressos in the morning for 3 of us
- 1 or 2 filters during the day
- 2 espressos, may be, in the evening if we do not make Indian Chai
I have brewed for 4 days after morning espressos. I swapped the filter burrs set twice, while letting my black Americano cool a bit. The other two times are swapping the filter burrs, while the kettle boils. By the time, the kettle boils on the hob, I have swapped the burrs; ground the coffee; and, got the cup, V60, filter paper and metal strainer ready on a scale ready to warm them up with boiled water before brewing.
If we want a decaf in the evening, it takes 1:15 mins to swap the burrs after cleaning the inner chamber. Otherwise, the filter burrs will be swapped in the night.
So far so good for me. That’s why, I want to log my real user experience / thoughts for the next 3 months to see how I am progressing with the process. I have nothing to camouflage; and, no one can say I am biased. 😀
As of now, I do not find the burrs swapping inconvenient, although the burrs are swapped at least once or twice a day. I will definitely air my experience, the convenience or the otherwise of it as the initial 3 months wears off.
Those who complain or air their grievances are either can’t be asked or lazy or do not drink filter coffee or might have other ideas. 🤷♂️
