dfk41 I find using it quick and easy. Far simpler than getting a tooth brush or similar or cloth. Just rinse, wiggle and away you go! https://www.temu.com/uk/1pc-coffee-powder-cleaning-hair-brush-bar-coffee-powder-sweeping-brush-cup-brush-10-19-4-78cm-g-601099516457007.html?top_gallery_url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.kwcdn.com%2Fproduct%2FFancyalgo%2FVirtualModelMatting%2Fce3eba201255d091d7a1cb10d1c011d6.jpg&spec_gallery_id=26665070&refer_page_sn=10009&refer_source=0&freesia_scene=2&_oak_freesia_scene=2&search_key=coffee%20brush%20cleaner&_x_enter_scene_type=cate_tab&_x_sessn_id=pfjvgz0lkx&refer_page_name=search_result&refer_page_id=10009_1690711882083_ccpo419p3s
thusband dfk41 Looks interesting. Not very expensive either. Are there bristles on the bottom? It looks like they’re just on the sides.
dfk41 skylark The one I have fits my 53mm basket though looking at it, I doubt it would matter much what size pf basket you have
JonWoo187 To each their own obviously, but I would worry about long term buildup eventually scratching the basket, being a bit unsanitary unless cleaned often, that sort of thing. Yes coffee itself is abrasive on the basket, but minimizing contact definitely helps.
JHCCoffee Hmmm … I of course rinse my PF and basket after each shot. I’ve never done more. Does any residue build up? Should I periodically be soaking my baskets in Cafeza? How often? Do I need to use a brush on it periodically? Why and how often?
dfk41 JHCCoffee I am not a technical person, but I suspect cleaning with water goes so far but I am sure coffee oils do build up. I soak my basket in Cafiza every now and then just because I always have done. I bought the brush because I could not see a reason not to, if that makes sense.
BrewLiam Seen these on quite a few influencers coffee bars. Probably because it’s a more aesthetically pleasing version of the cloth for wiping out the portafilter. I can definitely see a use for them though.
