delta76 I actually asked John about this too - I believe for the DE1, they’re looking at the Samsung A11 (8.7″).

mandalorian92 i think it will be A9+. But either way I can confirm A9+ works nicely for DE1. The stock tablet looks like a toy, feels like a toy. It is like a sore eye on a $4000 machine. Glad that upgraded it, can’t go back now

Edit: read it too fast and thought you were talking about the bengle. But I hope they will give an option to exclude the tablet from the package

delta76 He said A9+ is a bit too wide for the DE1, so theyve been testing the A11. I bought the A9+ during the Black Friday sale…..I don’t even own a Decent yet lol patiently waiting for v1.46.

mandalorian92 1.46 will only be cosmetic changes. Why wait. I snapped mine when they had Pink october discount and am happy that I did.

Mainly cosmetic, but it does have the stainless steel group-head part. Which doesnt improve performance, or anything.

mkelly789 You don’t need a PC. You can download it onto your tablet (android) directly and set it up.

mandalorian92 yeah if you can wait. My main driving factor is cost so I would rather buy a slightly defect cosmetic machine for 20% off instead :D. That is $800 off.

mkelly789 yeah i was not thinking very clearly. The instructions are to download the zipped file and extract it and copy it to /sdcard/de1plus. Which is nothing you can’t do directly on the tablet, given you have a file manager and a zip program

delta76 You dont need a PC. I just set it up directly on my tablet, without the need of a PC.

But yes pretty much end game you get there. Once i have the space I will think about a lever. Maybe argos. Cremia is great but only if i get a good deal on it

I’m happy with my setup of DE1 and Philos. I do have one complaint - it has stopped me from thinking about and endlessly watching reviews of new equipment, which is a bit of a hobby in itself!

My step down basket has been fine, but my 3BOMBER Yu series tamper has worked so well I switched back to normal basket. The tamper is as close as perfection as I could find - like it a lot. if only it was prettier
