Osmio Zero Old Filter Recycling

So it’s been about a year and I’ve just done another filter change. I can’t for the life of me remember what I did with the old filters last time, did I dream they could be sent back to osmio for recycling? I can’t find a link or anything to such. TIA

SiblingChris Q: Are your filters recyclable?

A: It depends on the filter. All plastic encapsulated filters, including those for the Osmio Zero and D7 can be put into plastics recycling. Any filter that has granular media (such as carbon, KDF, active ceramics, can be emptied out and used for soil drainage and compost. Plastic components of those filters can be put into plastic recycling. Other types of filters such as melt-blown and bag filters are thrown in the regular trash.

I’ve tried separating the “active” components from the outer plastic shell in my used Osmio filters… it can be done, but ain’t that easy as the plastic shell is very strong and blow hammer resistant 😣 (and can then break into many smaller hard pieces)
