Grif Did you have the limited one…most of them were stifled down to 98BHP and the engine really didn’t like it, made them asthmatic…They needed to breathe properly, mine was 1988 I think….pre restriction. More than fast enough for me….not as quick as the Honda fireblades, which were much lighter…but you could put down all the power without it getting out of shape. No stabiliser needed either so at 160 it would sit quite stable….and two up 145 was still stable.
Not the fastest bike, but nice as a sports tourer….with a ride and engine, like an oiled ferret sliding down a glass plate
