Lelit Marax doesn't turn on

Good day,

My lelit Marax suddenly doesn’t turn on. It has no power. The power cord, power switch and the thermo fuses are good. The electricity going to the gicar control unit is ok, I measured all this with with a multimeter. I opened the box and everything inside looks good, no burn capacitors etc. However, I believe that the problem is the gicar. Is there anyway to confirm that? Could you assist? Any suggestions? I live in a remote area and doesn’t have access to an official maintenance centre.

Taks If it’s the Gicar box, you’re only way of really testing would be to replace it with another Lelit Gicar box (they have programming in them so it has to be a Lelit one for a MaraX).

Some things I would check first.

Check the low water system isn’t working incorrectly, I can’t remember now whether MaraX turns off with low water, or simply flashes a red led?
Check the Wiring on the Gicar box
Open the Gicar box again and take a detailed photo, there may be some points on the layout that can be checked

When the water in the tank is low the power switch led light flashes continuously (If I remember correctly)

The wiring on the gicar box is good.

Anyways, Is there a way to I test or bypass the low water check just to be sure that this isn’t?

All the power tracks look OK, but check at these points, the transformer, you are checking for output.

Received the new gicar box (V2) installed it and the machine works.

Taks Glad it’s sorted out, unfortunately the Gicar box is not the cheapest component.
