Crem One LFPP - Analog Pressure Gauge

Hi all

I have had a Crem LFPP for about 3.5 yrs now, and I was given an E61 pressure gauge that would fit in the group eg

Obviously the machine has electronic pressure profiling, but I was curious to try an analog gauge to see if pressure matches the electronic output / maybe make manual profiling a bit easier to adjust in real time.

My question is, does the LFPP have sensors in the group that could be damaged by installing this gauge, or are there any other issues with fitting this? I see previous advice not to modify and happy to take that, however if it can do no harm I thought it might be interesting to try.

All you do is to add the thermometer to where he E61 had to be drilled to make the water flow to the brew chamber. You are essentially replacing a screw with another screw as far as the group is concerned. 😊

Thanks, I’m not clear on how the crem measures pressure, ie is it based on pump speed or is it actually sensing the pressure in the group. If the latter, I don’t want to disturb any sensors or wiring if it happens to be in that tube.

alexcs - doubt the pressure is measured in the E61 group, doubt very much there are any sensors in the E61 group let alone inside the brew chamber, and even more unlikely to be inside those drilled holes. You can always remove the screw and find out I suppose.

It’s no problem to install it, the pressure sensor is inside the machine.

Well Ive done a couple of shots and happy to report the gauge matches the machines reporting pressure exactly.

Shouldnt be surprised, it has been making excellent coffee since I bought it.
