  • Ceado e37s for sale - £525

I purchased this Ceado grinder new in October 2015, from Bella Barista. The grinder has had regular, light use since then, in a home environment.

As you may know, the Ceado E37S is an 83mm flat burr grinder and can be programmed for single and double shots by time. A double takes around 5-6secs to grind. The burrs and carrier have been regularly cleaned which is easy to complete by removing only three screws. You can remove the top burr assembly, clean and put back together without losing your previous grind setting. Changing between grind settings is simple with the stepless adjustment and it comes with the upgraded metal SCC flap.

It is supplied with the small hopper (320g) and I also have a perspex tube with tamper I have used to single dose/keep smaller amounts ready in the grinder.

The shot counter is reading 16133 from new. However, any period of time is counted as a shot, so purging in the morning or topping up a dose all counts as a shot. As a rough estimate, my wife and I tend to drink around 2 kg of coffee a month. Therefore, I anticpate the total usage is around 140-150kg - given that these are designed for a commercial environment, the burrs have plenty of life remaining.

The grinder is in very good condition as can be seen in the supplied pictures. There is a small area of burnish on the steel which I believe has been there since purchase and I couple of superficial scratches where the portafiler has made contact with the body of the grinder.

I have the original box but not the internal cardboard. I would prefer collection but would be willing to meet part way to facilitate a sale. I am based in Gloucestershire.

I couldn’t see costs to list but to say thank you for establishing the forum, I will donate 5% of the sold price to the forum.

Is this still available and are you open to an offer?

    @MrChris79

I’m looking out for a E37s for a friend who is upgrading from a Mignon Specialita. It looks as though the LCD backlight has gone on this - can you confirm? It’s a common fault with these.

So sorry about this. I have been out of the country for work and just returned today.

I received your email and thank you for the offer. Whilst I was hoping for a little more, I accept there has not been a great deal of interest. If you can collect it, I will take £475.

Apologies once again for the delay in response.

    Chris

      MrChris79 excellent thanks.

I assume it’s all working as it should be with no LCD issues?

If yes I’ll definitely take it 😊

        Hi there,

The question above and your query is making me doubt myself! I have tried to show the LCD as best I can. It is certainly not bright but is perfectly readable as can be seen from the photos. I can’t remember what it was like when I purchased it but don’t recall it being significantly brighter.

There are no other issues with the LCD. It doesn’t black out, flicker etc.

        Hope that helps,

        Chris

MrChris79 no problem. I’ll take it as agreed thank you. I might be able to get up this week but unlikely until next weekend.

Can you send an email to brokentechie (at) gmail.com and I can give you a mobile number so we can arrange collection if that’s OK?

Thanks to Mr Chris, I collected this today. It’s already dialled in for my morning brew!

A really easy transaction and a pleasure to deal with
