Robti - that’s what I’d use - 25g/L, if I’m not mistaken.
But I don’t. I prevent it. 😊- over 3 years (almost 4) and machine sounds identical to what it sounded on the first day.
ZeroWater, distilled, RO… 80mg/L sodium bicarbonate. Happy days.
@MediumRoastSteam has it right. Just use the right water and avoid descaling, unless you absolutely must. When I had my Lelit E, @DavecUK’s maintenance guidelines clearly cautioned against it. He or others can refresh my memory why, but I stick to that ZeroWater/sodium bicarbonate recipe these days; easy to make, one less variable to deal with, and safe for your machine.
Thanks only used filtered water as i live in a soft water area since day 1, did you get yours from BB as i did on first batch and didn’t think it was that old
Thanks
Yes, I got mine new from BB when they were released (Elizabeth).
Happy to. Just buy some baking soda. Not baking powder. You want to end up with 80 mg in a liter of water. Thats 80/1000 of a gram in a liter. So you mix up a concentrate of zero water and baking soda that is 8 grams in a liter of water. You then need to dilute the concentrate by a factor of 100.
JHCCoffee You want to end up with 8 mg in a liter of water.
Just a small observation: the usual recipe is 80mg/L. I personally use 100mg/L.
Nighttime typo. Absolutely right.
If the OP wants to get into the thick of it, just search water and he/she will see my “what water recipe do you use” query, wherein Rob1 and CoyoteOldMan made my head spin with water science.
