Not been ignoring you but unsure how to answer constructively!!
So even with the philos you have already entered the land where the laws of diminishing returns grab you at every opportunity.
Some would argue that starts after the Kinu m47 😎
I believe mr Lance did a video on it 18 months or so back thar upset a lot of people with EK43’s etc!!
You have to want a Kafatek for more than its ability to grind coffee consistently the cyndi lauper way!!
(That’s time after time for anyone wondering if I’ve finally cracked!!)
You have to appreciate the laborious cnc machining, checking and recording every fine detail of the grinder almost to the nano meter!! And believe its absolutely necessary to produce that final flavour you’ve been missing…
And even if you do not you appreciate where the price comes from and know the results will be great for the rest of your grandkids life…..
So, does all if this mean that compared to the Philos your mind will be blown? Absolutely not.
Id say the Philos will be great for anyone not thinking, “should have waited and got the Kafatek.”
If you find yourself looking at Kafatek or any other ozik etc (not weber, please!!) then you’re going to keep driving your partner mad until you actually purchase one…. And all will be well with the world.
For the rest, the philos, mazzer mini, atom, zero, duo etc. will produce perfectly good coffee. So will the Kinu classic cone to that ,😎
Hope that helps in some way ,☕
I like the vertical design and directly adjuster burr gap not relying on the burr floating on springs and the fact you can strip it down and clean it without any adjustment afterwards getting back to where you were. (That’s the annual cleaning just for the sake of it or when swapping burrs over).
