Selling my Lelit Elizabeth v3 along with a few accessories. Bought brand new from Bella Barrista in 2021, machine has served me very well, has been well maintained and looked after. Machine is in excellent condition, with very few scratches. I have had a protective mat over the top of the machine where cups sit which has worked wonders. It is still nice and shiny and looks like it did when I got it. I have back flushed the machine at least fortnightly since getting it. Maintenance wise two small parts have been replaced on the steam boiler and the OPV was switched at an early stage. I used tap water initially in the machine (30 TDS - lucky to have soft water in Scotland) and when doing so I regularly flushed the steam boiler to avoid scale. For last year or so I have been using a Zero water jug and remineralising as per the well known Pavlis water recipe. I have no concerns re scale in this machine, and don’t think there is any need to descale - it works well. Coming with the machine is the provided Lelit Baskets (4 in total including blank one), a 17g La Marzocca basket, an 18g VST (one I use), dosing ring that sits outside basket, Lelit spouted portafilter, Rocket bottomless portafilter, shot mirror and a tamper. I may have other bits and bobs I can throw in. I am willing to ship at buyers expense and have all original packaging (Lelit box then also a box to put that inside with protective foam) - this is how it was delivered to me. Good morning Ando. Except for back flushing, does it need any other type of maintenance? Suppose you need to change the group gasket once in a long while. Did you keep the original shower screen? And how is the steam knob working? I know people have a tendency to tighten it to hard, at least in the beginning. Is the price negotiable? I'd be keen for an upgrade from my Lelit PL41TEM, which served me well for the last 4 years. I am a bit unsure of buying a second hand machine which is out of warranty and has to be shipped to London. Thank you

@"oddbean"#p62429 If it falls though, I have one that's hardly been used…e.g. 6 weeks use only. It was light use as well because I had 3 other machines on the go at the time. It was the original I got and bought up to the latest spec (as now being sold). I came up with all the changes I wanted Lelit to do. I just have too many machines and need to thin the herd. Lelit did do another change which ended up being problematic, the placement of the expansion valve directly on the boiler. I didn't know they were going to do this and it was too late to stop them. Mine doesn't have this..**which could well be a benefit**. I had a different idea, which could be implemented on the machine **if ever required** (I'm happy to show you). In the meantime, I am happy with the original expansion valve and especially the placement. Contact me when you find out what's happening with this. I am 18 miles from London and would require you to collect from Byfleet in surrey (for safety and it allows you to see the machine).

sur76 Hi Dave, aware that you don’t have the elizabeth anymore, been reading your entire sway article and some of the posts on the elizabeth here as well. Couple of queries:

1. Are you aware of any ‘fixes’ Lelit might have made in some of these parts like the OVP / Steam Valve? or even if I buy a machine made in 2024 I should anticipate to have this problem?
2. Due to friends living on the mainland, I am able to buy the brand new elizabeth for around ~£875 (and just bring it back with me after hols in the car). (fyi similar on the maraX but more interested in the elizabeth).

Thoughts on if this then becomes a no brainer? what are you using at present? as said, I got the BB T64 to accompany it. At present using the Bambino Plus. Which struggles with lighter roasts and hence end up mainly making flat whites and not so often pure espressos.

I Use the ACS Evo 2 Lever. I have 12+ machines perhaps more, but the lever is my favourite.

Think @sur76 is referring to the steam tap being prone to failure when used by heavy handed people who screw it in too tight (I never had a problem and my machine is 4 years old) and the expansion valve (OPV) being responsible for not being very consistent depending on when the user is pulling a shot. This was beaten to death a couple of years back and my understanding was that those valves are now better. Still, it might not be placed in a very smart location as it is pretty much attached, or very close to the brew boiler, making it not being part of the cold water circuit exclusively.

I suspect a lot of used units will appear on the market when people realise the realities of using one, especially if you have guests. The extension to the timeline into 2025 is a bit concerning and I would imagine problematic for them if they get mass Cancellations. many people (unrealistically IMO) were believing the Dec 23 delivery date, and then all the extensions to delivery dates in between as updates were released….so are understandably, not happy.

I don’t understand, are you asking If I am selling one. I was/am? selling a Bianca V1 to someone, after checking it over as It has been boxed for years and only used for 3 weeks. However, I did all the work to commission it, lube the flow control and verify it was working perfectly. Then the guy seems to have fallen off the edge of the earth and I have heard nothing for 3 weeks.
