I’m a bit of a stickler for clean coffee gear too and I take out the burrs of my Niche once a month and clean them. Consequently they never really get that gummed up if at all. Same with my Sage dual boiler, after every espresso I take out the tray empty the water and wipe it clean, then the front gets wiped. I also now use a puck screen which keeps the shower screen coffee residue free. I have done this so long now once the espresso is poured doing the clean-up literally takes about a minute.
