MWJB dfk41 Different coffee will shift time, as will a different grinder. So if it is weaker and perhaps tangy, go finer, until the flavour notes get more muddled/flat, then back track.
MediumRoastSteam Systemic That’s a quote I’d never have expected DFK to utter. The apocalypse is coming Systemic - Rumour has it that the Evo will be up for grabs soon… And a Decent might take its place. DFK will be showing us his turbo shots next! 🤣
Jony dfk41 plenty of us around, to help out, even though the Filter king speaks, ohh He knows everything.
Systemic Tried a more straightforward method for brewing through the Switch - two pours and all done in two and a half minutes. Had to tighten the grind to get the extraction yield to my preference and was generally please with the result. This morning, reverted to my more complicated three pour method which completes in just over three and a half minutes. The result shaded the simpler method providing more of the fruit notes - not massively so but noticeable to me. Just goes to show how versatile the Switch is.
dfk41 Using the same bean I loosened off the T64 about 20 notches. I think I will do the same again. it is stepless.
dfk41 Jony Will do tomorrow. I might add that I am just experimenting so quite happy for any suggestions. I have only made one espresso using it and that was ground on 11 and at about the right setting. Tomorrow I will try her on 80 and report back
dutchy101 Never tried Dark Woods, but these have caught my eye. Think I’ll order a kilo https://shop.darkwoodscoffee.co.uk/collections/coffee/products/common-grounds-barrel-aged-beans?variant=9881228607532
dutchy101 Uncletits mine arrived today too. Roasted on 6th June so pretty nicely rested already. The aroma is amazing. Looking forward to trying these
LMSC Jony Saw some good bags from them this week. Haven’t ordered as I already have 250g Geisha from Blossoms and 250g Anerobic Natural from Smith Street in the post. I do have 150g tins of Pink Bourbon from Dark Woods and Anerobic Washed from Crankhouse.
