MuddyOne Does it feel like an upgrade to you then? If so then why? You said that the difference is subtle so is it a subtle upgrade then
@MuddyOne
At this price point (above 400£) and above differences are always subtle and subjective BUT Definately there
As @dfk41 @Cuprajake , @MediumRoastSteam have similarly said above you can tell a difference just the same as my wife can, when i can get her interested to do a serious test etc etc . I always get an, “i prefer …. ” Answer. She’s never said “they’re just the same”
But ultimately when it comes down to best for you, only you can decide which you prefer but definately not just by reading about them.
I dont know anywhere locally i can go to get hands on impartial advice and a row of cups of coffee to try. I have my opinion of the advice from JH etc but prefer to keep them private!
I started with sage smart grinder pro and moved on to niche zero. Now if you want night and day differences try that route. Moving up from the niche zero by a few hundred £ the differences are going to be subte but definite. I currently have 4 grinders in use and 2 for sale. The df83 lasted as long as the sage but luckily sold quickly . Its an addictive hobby for sure. Its much easier to buy than sell coffee gear for sure, but, if you are 101% happy with what you have, be happy, stop reading, stop watching videos and enjoy your coffee. Not sure im there yet, not because i dont love my coffee just because the day you stop exploring is the day ………. Well, i dont want to get there!!
