Hi guys, been a while but still kicking the coffees over at a lesser pace since doctor recommended LESS coffee due to BP problems.
Never mind, my ‘issues’ are down to the inconsistent grind from my DF83V2. No two grinds are the same, some even produce one ‘tight’ shot and a second a real gusher?
So i opened up to take a) give it a clean and b) try spot anything unusual.
But after trying to remove the chute (ioniser IS on) which was a big mistake, screws disappearing long before i could catch them and it appears i only have the flippy flappy piece of the plastic declumper (is this normal with the ioniser, should i have another starshaped piece, who knows, maybe it escaped alongwith the screws) i did manage to reassemble.
But, he bottom burr appears ‘scuffed’ on a few teeth, could that cause a problem? Strange how this is the case as i’ve not touched the insides at all.
I also obviously reassembled incorrectly as there was no grinds being ejected due to the flap being inside the body and not outward facing the chute d’oh!
But, you live and learn, or at least i do, so i’m toying with the idea of diving back in to the grinder and removing the declumper altogether. Good idea or not?
If they were available i’d purchase a Mythos metal declumper but cant seem to find anything anywhere, plastic or otherwise out there.
Feel free to point me in the right direction as at present i’m grinder less, its in bits.
Thanks if youve read this far!
