Maybe, but even for that price I would want to make sure I maximised the full potential of the burrs or else it’s a bit like buying a souped- up sports car and only using it to drive to the local shops 😆

Trouble is I imagine it’s the thin end of the wedge! Before you know it your buying super expensive light roasts and wondering what everyone else is raving about! 😝 or on the plus side you snag a bargain and find coffee Nirvana 😊

I don’t disagree with you that it’s understandable for his costs to be much higher per unit than mazzer for instance. Still, I can see where all.this is going and its not going to be Everyman’s bailiwick…

The move to this new US made servo motor reflects that and joins the US made billet he uses to machine parts from, the US made bearings he uses to spin the lower burr with, and multiple US companies for the anodizing and powder coating along with the coating for the burrs. This type of manufacturing I feel is dying if not completely dead in favor of outsourcing to inexpensive overseas alternatives.

This is really great. The grinders would be wasted on me but this is the sort of thing that would encourage me to buy. Not even based on any quality differences, it’s just good to see places are starting to manufacture parts in house like we used to.

I am not an American but that is a sentiment that is commendable as even 30 years ago I always thought that the move in usa and other western countries to outsource all there manufacturing to China was completely suicidal and end up in gutting their own industrial capability and instead building up China into becoming stronger and wealthier than them in the end. If every American business owner and directors thought like that instead of onpy prioritising short term gain, usa would be much healthier in every way than they currently are. The way I see it, a healthier and stronger America that operates truly according to its ideals is good for the whole world.
