Just a quick update. The Limini Decaf from Brazil
https://www.liminicoffee.co.uk/shop/decaf-coffee
is really surprising on all levels. It is a dark roast but it is done properly. By that I mean so many roasters think a darker roasted bean is just a lightly roasted bean left in for a couple of minutes longer…….of course it is not but that goes part way to explain why so many offerings from coffee roasters disappoints. The roaster thinks all he has to do is select a profile then write some flowery rollocks for the advert! This decaf is roasted with care. Oil is showing on many of the beans yet when you drink it, either as americano (I have not tried it as an espresso but will) there is absolutely no burnt or ash taste, and that takes skill!
I also have a bag of their lighter roasted Mexican decaf to try and I look forward to opening that! Best of all, is free delivery over £25! SO, if you want to try a darker roasted blend, give Youri and his team a shot and prepare to be surprised. I should also point out that they do a range of SO beans at £21.25 per kilo or £7.31 per 250gms……..I will accept a public shaming if anyone tries some and dislikes!
