What do you mean by this? How do you know they are in a tight range for filter?
Almost all grinders give a representative result at the appropriate setting, differences between burrs can only really be evaluated at a similar setting, otherwise you can’t isolate the burrs being the issue, rather than them being set to a different setting (grind size).
For example, if you are using brew time to tune grind setting, you have to go a fair way out of whack to eliminate the fact that the burrs might achieve similar results in different times. Or, go so fine that you cause a repeatable failure mode, then back off again.
