hi all, I recently(1 week ago) purchased a Lelit Elizabeth brand new PL972T dual boiler.

Question: I have used it several times and the pressure gauge when infusing a shot moves from pre infusion to 9 bar but today it hovered around 3 bar and I cant figure out how to get the pressure bar back up? Any ideas

How many seconds of preinfusion did you set? Machine will stay at 3 bar(if steam boiler is on) for that period of time, and then will move to 9 bar.

Lelit Elizabeth, La Pavoni, Niche Duo, Gene Cafe roaster

Good question. I just checked and it’s 3 “ for infusion 1 and 6” for infusion 2.

Still the bar at infusion 1 stays at 4 bar at pre infusion but just stays there for the rest of the 30 second shot. So effectively stays at 4 bar for 30 seconds and does not move from 4 to 9 after 3 seconds!

High res video please - so I can see the gauges and the coffee being extracted.

Chrisa Chris on this forum, for a video, all you need to do is use the youtube app on your phone to upload, or manually upload as unlisted, and simply paste the link here. The forum will do the rest.

      Chrisa - grind finer. 😊

You want to achieve a total time of 30s, beverage weight of approx. 38g in the cup. I am also assuming if you use the provided blind basket, the pressure will go up to 9 bar.

Also, I don’t know if you read Dave’s review of that machine… I’d recommend you read and re read, and watch and re watch everything. 👍😊

MediumRoastSteam blind basket and goes to 10. Just moved the needle in the finest and it shoots back up. Thanks so much for your help! Appreciated

Yes will do my homework on the link :)

Chrisa no problem. Enjoy the machine. Remember, it’s a espresso machine, not a filter coffee maker 😉. What I saw in your video is NOT what that machine is for.

This was me a few years ago:

MediumRoastSteam yes I understand. It was supposed to be an espresso shot and probably looked more like filter 😭

Great set up- thanks for sharing. Might ask for some advise if you don’t mind!
