Elizabeth continuously "popping" when idle

So back with yet another Elizabeth issue.

My machine, just over a year old, is now repeatedly doing that “pop” it does at the end of a shot, but continuously when its idle and at about 15-20 second intervals.

What do I need to replace this time?

MediumRoastSteam You know the pop it makes when the shot comes to an end? Like a pressure relief, but this one is not as loud.

I recorded one of them, keeps doing this continuously when idle now.

I hope it’s not the anti-vacuum valve again, I replaced that about 6 months ago.

erkal - sounds like,, to me, one of the solenoids have gone bonkers. Which one though? If you turn the steam boiler off, do you keep getting it? That would rule out being the auto-fill solenoid. Then there’s the 3 way solenoid and the hot water tap.

Have you opened the machine to try and find out where the sound comes from?

MediumRoastSteam No, I probably should’ve but my first instinct was to come here. That rubber seal piece around the cup warmer is a real nightmare! :)

A quick Google suggested it needs descaling but I don’t think it’s that old and I only used bottled water up until a month ago, when I switched to Zero jug.

Open the machine when you can and you should be able to point out where it comes from easily. And yes… that rubber gasket! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
