So, i did not (Know i) have static on the Max , but i found the comments in the long video interesting and worth investigating.
I had not been using rdt or wdt with the max
Its not feasible to do a head to head with and without and the taste buds dont have memory recall .
I dont believe theres a big difference in the cup, but im grinding much finer and the other day i “forgot to rdt” and had a 50 odd second shot. That wasnt pleasant.☕
So no rdt or with rdt dialled in are both consistent but very different settings
Inside the grinder was arguably cleaner today but were not talking in terms if grams!!
Ive not tried it with monsoon Malabar. 😎
The Key needs rdt 100% or the unserside of the burrs look like coffee stalagmites.
The prime does not need rdt. Explain that!! (Speed??)
The philos does not need rdt.
I have not tried rdt with the philos or prime to see if i would end up grinding finer.
Theres nothing in the kafatek that will corrode, but it is bone dry and id just made 2 x shots when i opened it today.
I had expected a mess due to “sludge ” in the inside corners of the burr teeth but found nothing as can be seen.
Its a long boring video to listen to, but, please do!!
