Potential 1st hand grinder for espresso..

Always keep tabs on Blackcats offerings as usually spot on with unbeatable value.
Been looking at espresso subscriptions over the weekend, ideally prefer a roasters choice as I get bored quite quickly with the same bean. Problem with it alternating is receiving a dark roast you didn’t want! Might need to send a few emails..

Another vote for Kinu, but 1zpresso are great as well and I hear much good stuff about KinGrinder (K6?) at a fraction of the price.

ROK also a very good grinder with added benefit of easy grinding. I’ve bought them cheaply where I live (secondhand).

Or just buy DF54? 🤷‍♂️

Was just considering a conical option (already have a Niche Duo). Like many having a Zero next to it would be ideal but not an option at present.
I will keep everyone’s suggestions in mind any rate. 👍

I got the J Ultra after looking around at ALL the options for a while. I only use it for filter really but I like the fact it can grind fine enough for espresso and have done when i want to try an espresso. I can’t compare it to others as it’s the only hand grinder I’ve used but the external adjustment is nice and easy to use and it’s a solid build.

dang2484 Yes I came to the same conclusion with that model (before I posted this subject) and I suppose it’s well priced, it’s just paying out for ‘curiosity’ could be a gamble that may backfire. 👍

ST30B I felt the same as I only really wanted a separate grinder for decaf and couldn’t justify getting a second electric grinder just for the occasional decaf!

If it’s not quite what you wanted, you definitely get your money back on it 😉

ST30B excellent - a proper medium roast with good flavour although I preferred the Brazil Eagle Monte Carmelo which is very nice and although still medium roast has good depth of flavour

Another vote for the Comandante C40. As said before, red clix will be needed. Makes really nice espresso and there are lots of others using them and can quote recipes in number of clicks from burr lock.

Uncletits Nice. Sometimes the naturals can give too much of a ‘twang’?! But sounds like this one hits a nice balance.
