DavecUK I just watch a video that someone put some air with an air compressor at the hot water wand, so i will try to do that and then descaling again. Does it make sense?

I’ve never done that, but you can try, it might move the blockage. Just be careful not to use too much pressure.

Sorry to hijack the thread,

I have the same machine with a similar problem. The hot water side has completely stopped working, I saw the video that @JoseEsc mentions and tried that, I can get air through the wand and can hear it entering the boiler, so there is no blockage. I’m now at a loss as to what it could be - just for clarity I have used RO water from day one (Osmio Zero) descaled etc’ but cannot completely descale as the hot water wand is not working.

I’m now at a loss mate, hoping @DavecUK can suggest a broken or replacement part, everything else is fine with my machine just no hot water (which is something I do not use anyway) but it would be nice to have everything working. I contacted BB to see about a service but it will be in the region of £450 plus any parts required.

hubcap 450£ is insane.. anyway i did descale just with the group head and the steam wand. Just be carefull after descale becouse you need to flip the machine and connect a hose to the steamwand to fully empty the water in the boiler. If you search for a descale video, be carefull because mara X process is so diferent. Here is the video that i saw.

Interesting video and very informative, but as my hot water wand is not working at all, this procedure cannot be performed.

So, after all this, is your hot water wand working or is it still as before and not working?

my machine works fine and I can live without hot water but it would be nice to have it all working again.

The wand could be blocked with scale, or the valve could be faulty…

does no water at all come out
What happens if you remove the end piece and try to blow into the wand.
If you remove the water pipe connection to the boiler what happens?

Hi Dave,

No water at all (no drips either) completely dry, and just to mention, no sound either.

blowing into the wand has no resistance, I can hear air going all the way through.

As for removing the steam pipe, i have no idea how to do that, to be honest I’m quite limited to what I can do (75 years old etc’).
