delta76 They reduced the spin speed from 1340 to 800. Personally I think that was a mistake as I found a big difference in the taste profile. But enjoy playing! You need offset spanners (I think it is 17mm and 20mm but I might be wrong) to remove the bottom burr and again, I think it is a reverse thread! But check on YT. There is always loads of stuff. Did you check the total runtime setting?

delta76 Mine still does 19 g in 4.15 seconds, it is from the first generation a bit faster RPM. If I remember correctly its weight is between 18-20 kg so yes, it is a beast. Enjoy!

Only now I find time and determination to clean it.could not do a thorough cleaning as I don’t have a spanner yet but some ingenuity + alternative tools did the job.
The impression is old boy this is a huge a mount of retention. The previous owner probably never deep cleaned it. Got most of it out. The burr looks very good.
After cleaning did some grind test and the first grind is like 7-8gr less than the second (forgot to weigh, judging visually) so we know about retention. Fortunately I can grind 18gr in less than 5.5s now so that is 1s less from cleaning! The ground is also almost clump free now.
Will need another hour before I have breakfast and some proper taste test

delta76 You will find that most of the retention is exchanged and not compacted. My last one has a lot of built up retention, mainly stuck between the burrs when I lifted the top burr off. But remember, this is designed as a full on commercial where use will be a lot and they probably do not care! @John_Yossarian did a thread I think showing how he has adapted his. I am sure he will chip in. I am hoping though that the improvement in the cup will far outweigh any retention issues!

dfk41 @delta76 I have not done much on the retention but I did change the way I deliver the beans to the burrs. The large hopper (able to hold 2.5 kg of beans) was taken down and I replaced it with a home made system with weight to keep the beans under a bit of pressure and contains enough beans for 4-5 double shots. It has been very consistently giving me 19 g Plus/Minus 0.1-0.2g which for me is enough.
